We will never forget
On 31.06.2021, the Department of Finance and accounting organized an open educational hour with students of the 1st year on the topic" never forget "in an online format. The event, organized in order to foster a sense of patriotism among students, the ability to endure difficulties and not lose faith in the future, began with a 1-minute silence in memory of the victims. In general, according to the researchers, in 1927-53, more than 125 thousand people were repressed in Kazakhstan. 25 thousand of them were shot. During the years of these repressions, there were 953 camps throughout the country. More than 20 gulag camps are located in Kazakhstan. It was during these years that representatives of the Kazakh intelligentsia in the field of science, culture and politics were shot. After gaining independence, on April 14, 1993, the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the rehabilitation of victims of mass repression was adopted. The first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, declared 1997 the year of national peace and remembrance of victims of political repression, as well as May 31-the day of remembrance of victims of political repression and famine. We know that this measure is the beginning of work to pay off the debt, to justify the duty to the people who strive for freedom, to make the Kazakh a sovereign state, to suffer innocently.
