About the faculty
The Faculty of «Natural Sciences» conducts accelerated development of educational activities in educational, methodological, scientific and educational directions.
Today the faculty consists of the following departments:
• Department of "Natural Sciences"
• Department of "Standardization and Veterinary Medicine"
• Department of "Information and Communication Technologies"
• Department of "Biology and Agricultural Specialties"
• Department of "History and Geography"
The faculty employs about 90 faculty members, including 3 PhDs, 9 doctors of sciences and professors, more than 20 candidates of sciences, associate professors.
The teaching staff of the department always publishes research results in domestic and foreign publications. Earlier, in 2022, S.Tokbolat's articles were published in the journals "Bilig" and "Power and Education", which are included in the Scopus database. Several articles were also published by the associate professor of the Department M.In Moldakhmetov's journals such as "thousand Journal of Earth Sciences", "Aqua" and "periodicals of technical and natural sciences", which are still included in the Scopus database.
In order to increase the scientific potential, the teaching staff of the department participates in competitions of scientific projects funded by NGOs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For example, in 2023, two members of the department won the competition. S.Tokbolat on the topic "Logistics of military campaigns of the Russian Empire in the Kazakh steppe and Turkestan region: impact and consequences for Kazakh society" and M.Moldakhmetov IRN AP19679134 on the topic "Development and improvement of methodological foundations for calculating minimum runoff in conditions of non-stationary climate and runoff 2023-2025. RK for grant financing of a scientific and (or) scientific and technical project.
As well as "The best teacher of the University of the Republic of Kazakhstan" J.Abdullah, winner of the silver medal of the Association "Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" K. Tokzhigitov, etc.
On December 22, 2022, the certificate was issued for special merits in the field of science with the note "For merits in the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan" by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Candidate of Technical Sciences Aitekova Kuralai Uskenbayev ne.
On November 2, 2022, the Ashylda IT Academy was held at the Sherkhan Murtaza International Taraz Innovation Institute.The aim of the Academy is to form the skills and competencies of the XXI century: the formation of students' information skills, technological skills.
The IT Academy offers a wide range of courses for different categories of students, namely from 10 to 50+ years old:
• CBT training (in computer science);
Various workshops are also held:
• Virtual communication on social networks;
• Video editing;
• SMM skills, etc.
In 2023, the institute became a partner of Huawei ICT Academy and Cisco Network Academy, which allowed students to complete training and certification in the field of ICT in these global companies. Teachers of colleges and schools in the region connected to the Cisco Networking Academy through the Academy, got the opportunity to study online courses and improve their knowledge.
In August 2023, the Drone Academy began its work. At this academy, students adapt to technical sports, get acquainted with unmanned aerial vehicles and apply them in various fields.
PT on the basis of the Academy, the I and II Regional Iii Hackathons were held. It was attended by students and students of the region.
At the faculty, students study through online courses on the global educational platform Coursera 2023-2024.

Student achievements
The faculty has classrooms, laboratories, and teaching rooms for the specialties being prepared. All faculty members are engaged in scientific research and publish articles in national and international scientific conferences, journals, contribute to participation in various student scientific conferences, Olympiads, competitions, as well as in regional, national, international competitions, sports competitions and prizes. In addition, a team of kvn "Oyu" has been created from among our students, which currently performs at various competitions in cities.

Date and facts
History of the Faculty:
The Faculty of Natural Sciences was founded in 2009. The first dean of the faculty was Ph.D., Associate Professor Ayazbayev Talgatbek Lesbekovich. The faculty included the departments "Physics and Chemistry", "Biology", "Mathematics and Computer Engineering", "Standardization and Certification". Since the opening of the faculty, the contribution to the formation and development has been made by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor J. In 2017, due to the presence of structural changes, the name of the faculty was changed to "Natural Sciences".
Since 2019, the Faculty of Natural Sciences has been headed by PhD Nurgabylov Murat Nuridinovich. The departments include "Natural Specialties", "Information and Communication Technologies", "Biology and Agricultural specialties", "History and Geography", "Standardization and Veterinary Sanitation".
Students:
The educational programs of the faculty are in demand by applicants. Over the past three years, their number has increased one and a half times. Today, 1,100 people study at the faculty, 59 of them are grant holders, 44 of them are state educational grants, 3 are local educational grants, 3 are "Kazakhstan Khalkyna" grants, 7 are rector's grants, 2 are military educational grants. The faculty also trains winners of international Olympiads and international competitions of scientific projects. The faculty trains foreign students from countries such as Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as from many regions of Kazakhstan: West Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Mangystau, South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Turkestan, Almaty, Aktobe.
Teachers:
The Faculty of Natural Sciences employs about 90 teaching staff, including 4 PhDs, 9 doctors of sciences and professors, more than 20 candidates of sciences, associate professors, masters. Currently, 3 faculty teachers are studying in the doctoral program.
